Winston, officially the Republic of Winston, or Rei Publicae Vincere (Latin) is a sovereign city-state and micro-state on the east coast of the North American continent, a 3-hour jet-flight down from New York, located on a group of Islands on the Atlantic Ocean.
It is recognized as one of the wealthiest and most expensive places to live, but also the most environmentally progressive and safest countries for women in the world.
The official language of Winston is Winglish (Winstonian English).
English, Italian, Japanese and Latin are the official languages, while French, Swedish, Korean, Vietnamese, Brazilian Portuguese and Yoruba are also spoken and understood by many residents.
What Winstionians fear the most is:

Consisting of an island group on the east coast of the United States, bought from the American government in the 1803s, by nine wealthy industrial families from France, Italy, Sweden, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Brazil and Nigeria.
They founded Rei Publicae Vincere, Republic of Winston, wanting to access to the North American market, but not live in America, keeping their cultural traditions and independence.
The 8 Founding Families of Winston are not aristocracy and has no ruling power in Winston, but they do hold a significant role in diplomatic relations and trade relations for the Republic of Winston.
The have the same obligations to represent the country, host foreign dignitaries, diplomats and important people in the arts, sciences and business.
They have no rights above other Winstonians but they have many obligations, including but not limited to:

One Primus Imperator Res Publica (First Commander of State) is primus inter pares (first among equals) with only representative functions for diplomacy.
Imperators must prove their effectiveness and results in the yearly report that is distributed nationwide in December: Imperator Profectum Chronica.

The Car Project - Complete ban on everything but electric vehicles. Foreigners have to leave their cars outside of city-limits and rent electric cars to enter.
The Bee Project - All streets, rooftops and city gardens must contain wild bee and insect friendly plants.
The Neutrality Project -All trading in oil and development or investment in military and weapons industries are forbidden.
The Mother First Project - All Padre Fugitivo, (Runaway Dads) are criminally charged for abandoning their children. Single mothers are granted Padre Veneratio, (Honorable Fathers), upstanding Winstonian Gentlemen as foster fathers to ensure maximum support and integration in society for mothers and children. Padre Fugitivo goes on their permanent records so that they can not repeat the offense to other women.
All new mothers are granted a Sanhujori Post-Partum nurse to aid the family for three months.
The Women First Project - Winston implements verbal consent laws and makes knowingly spreading STDs a criminal offense under medical abuse laws.
The Winston-grown Project - The government installs free rooftop greenhouses on all government buildings, hotels and residential buildings and funds vertical farms in the Butterfly Fields science and industrial district.
A Directorial Republic
Initially governed like a company with a board of directors consisting of the Dominus Familiae/Domina Familiae from the nine Founding Families , Winston is now a city-state directorial republic.
run by a college of heads of state with a Primus Imperator Res Publica (First Commander of State) who is primus inter pares (first among equals) with representative functions for diplomacy.
24 Imperators Res Publica (Commanders of State) run the board of state,Concilium Imperatorium.
3 representatives from each of the 8 Cantons is elected by the residents of their Canton, representing the 8 ethnic groups in Winston equally.
Winston has no political parties as they view them as a breeding ground for polarization, corruption and predisposition towards conflict. If Winstonian's vote in a person that has outstanding merits, they can not refuse the position, but must serve Winston as an Imperator for one year to contribute their expertise to society.
Imperators apply to the position like an executive job and need ten years proven experience and a master degree in their field of expertise. Each Imperator hands in Imperator Profectum Chronica, the progress- and result report for the year which is distributed to Winston's
9 million citizens during December. Winstonians judge the Imperator Profectum Chronica as if they're watching sport results coming in while they're eating their Swedish knäck candy and Nigerian Puff Puff with their mulled wine during the winter holidays.
Each Imperator has a board of ten scientists advising them in their role, five Winstonian- and five foreign scientists that are top of their field. Imperators can only implement solutions that are scientifically proven to be effective with pilot-projects required before nationwide implementation.
Every 3 years Winston chooses a new Nationalis Emendatio Project, an infrastructural, economic, environmental or public health problem that all of Winston's public and private companies in the chosen sector must participate in solving.
In the Republic of Winston three things matter:
